How to Use Instagram Trial Reels as a Music Artist 🚀

Instagram’s “Trial Reels” feature, which launched last year to help boost reach by giving you the chance to test Reels with non-followers, is now available to more users!

So today, I'm going to show you how Trial Reels work!

What are Trial Reels? 🧪
Trial Reels allow you to test Reels with people who don't already follow you and see what performs best.
🔥 You can test multiple versions of the same video with different hooks.
🔥 You can try unique video ideas you were too nervous to try before.
🔥 You can see if new people will connect with your content.
How it works 👇
(according to Instagram)
1. Take the usual steps to create a reel.
2. Before sharing, tap the toggle to turn on 'Trial'.
3. After sharing your trial reel, you can find it in your drafts.
Only you will be able to see that your reel is a trial. It will not be shown to other people on your profile unless you later decide to share it with everyone, and your followers won't see the trial reel in their feed or reels tab.
24 hours after you share a trial reel, you can view key engagement metrics in the reels viewer to get a sense of how it's performing.
If your trial reel is performing well, you can choose to 'share with everyone' so your followers can see it and increase its reach, or, during creation, you can choose to automatically share your trial reel with followers if Instagram determines it's performing well based on the views it receives within the first 72 hours.
