I ask the top artists, “How do you make your videos beat the algorithm?”
And they all said the same thing: “I just remake what works in my own style.”
So this email will show you 3 ideas that are blowing up and how to remake them so you can get your music heard.
1. Revealing your music mission
Artist: @fleurdemurmusic
Hook: DJ’s are cool…but can we bring live music back to the dance floor plz???
Template: DJ’s are cool…but can we bring [describe the type of music you make in detail] back to the [location] plz???
Why it works:
Relatable - People who agree with your mission engage.
Underdog - People naturally want to root for an underdog.
How to do it: Record a clip of you performing your music and write a hook that clearly states your mission with a question at the end.
2. “Morning routine”, but with a twist
Artist: @goodboytroy_
Hook: morning routine as a horror film composer
Template: morning routine as a [what style of music you create + if you’re a composer, producer, DJ, etc]
Why it works:
Intrigue - People want to see different types of people’s morning routines, which leads to higher watch time.
Satire - Having a twist at the end of the video, like in this example, makes you feel funny and relatable, which makes you more likable.
How to do it: Film yourself doing typical “morning routine” style habits, making people wait for the ending where you do something funny/satirical.

3. Giving your audience what they didn’t know they needed
Artist: @jaysonwithawhyy
Hook: Turning Disney tunes into bangers for the parents
Template: Turning [what you’re remixing/editing] tunes into [type of music + who it’s for]
Why it works:
Connection - When you target a specific audience, in this case, parents who love Disney but also love bangers, it creates a deeper connection between you and the viewer.
Nostalgia - Tapping into nostalgia brings back memories, which makes people want to share your video with others like them.
How to do it: Give your target audience the music they didn’t know they needed. Turn something classic/everyone knows into something fresh and new.
