I asked the top artists, โ€œHow do your videos beat the algorithm?โ€

They all said the same thing: โ€œI just remake what works in my own style.โ€

So here are 3 ideas blowing up right now, and exactly how to remake them to get your music heard.

1. A day in your music life

Hook: My day as a pianist living in NYC

Template: My day as a [what kind of artist you are] living in [your city]

Example: My day as a bedroom producer living in Manchester

Why it works:

Relatable: People love seeing the real life behind the music. The early alarm, the practice, the side job. It makes fans feel close to you.

Story: Timestamps make people stay to see what happens next. Here, a normal day builds up to meeting a famous pianist at his album release party.

How to do it: Film short clips through one full day, from getting ready to making music. Add the time to each clip and let your song play underneath. Save the best moment of the day for the end.

2. Call out your people

Hook: This activates a very specific type of raver ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Template: This activates a very specific type of [the exact kind of fan your music is for]

Example: This activates a very specific type of emo kid who never grew out of it

Why it works:

Identity: When people see themselves in your hook, they feel seen. They comment โ€œthis is meโ€ and tag friends who are the same.

Nostalgia: She mixed a classic 90s rave track into a fresh club edit. Fans of the original feel that rush all over again, and they canโ€™t keep it to themselves.

How to do it: Film yourself playing your song live, or show a crowd moving to it. In the text hook, name the exact type of fan your song is made for. The more specific, the better.

3. Score a scene that doesnโ€™t exist

Hook: Trying to make a beat that sounds like a late night at the office in 1987 struggling to crack a cold case

Template: Trying to make a beat that sounds like [a very specific time, place, and moment]

Example: Trying to make a beat that sounds like driving home alone after the last night of summer camp in 1999

Why it works:

Imagination: A specific scene plays a movie in peopleโ€™s heads. Your music becomes the soundtrack to it, so they keep watching.

Comments: People canโ€™t help adding to the story. The top comment wrote a full detective scene and got 23K likes. More comments push your video to more people.

How to do it: Film yourself playing your song from one simple angle, no talking. Stay calm and focused, like youโ€™re lost in the moment. Let the text hook and your music do all the work.
